This course is designed for beginner to upper-intermediate students. It offers a great foundation if you’re looking to progress to outcome-focused courses such as IELTS, Cambridge and Academic English.

Cambridge

Preparation

A Cambridge course is a more intensive alternative to General English. It will enable you to have complex conversations in English and succeed in daily life in an English-speaking country. Best of all, a Cambridge certification is valid for life and is recognised around the world by over 20,000 businesses, universities and Government departments.

Cambridge – A2 KEY (KET)

Cambridge English: A2 Key (KET) is our entry-level Cambridge English program. It’s designed to improve your ability to communicate in English – in simple, everyday situations. It covers the core English skills of listening, reading, writing and speaking.

You will learn to:

  • To understand simple written English
  • To understand and use basic phrases and expressions
  • To use the correct tense and sentence structure
  • To introduce yourself and answer basic questions about yourself
  • To interact with native speakers at a basic level
  • To speak about familiar topics such as hobbies, holidays and jobs
  • How to write emails, letters and stories.

Upon completion of Cambridge English: A2 Key (KET) you’ll have the confidence to progress to higher-level Cambridge exams such as Cambridge English: B1 Preliminary (PET) and Cambridge English: B2 First (FCE).

Have pre-intermediate English skills; Are looking for a more intensive alternative to General English, and Want a globally-recognised measure of English proficiency for employment, immigration or tertiary study purposes.

Cambridge – B1 Preliminary (PET)

Have you completed Cambridge English: A2 Key (KET)? Now you can progress to Cambridge English: B1 Preliminary (PET) to build on the core English skills you learnt in Cambridge English: A2 Key (KET) including listening, reading, speaking and writing, to improve your communication skills in everyday situations.

You will learn to:

  • A broader English vocabulary
  • To improve your pronunciation
  • How and when to use different grammar tenses
  • To communicate effectively in a range of situations
  • To write well-structured, accurate and easy to understand letters
  • To understand ‘longer listenings’ – such as TV shows, lectures and videos.

Upon completion of the Cambridge English: B1 Preliminary (PET), you’ll have the confidence to progress to even higher-level Cambridge exams such as Cambridge English: B2 First (FCE) and Cambridge English: C1 Advanced (CAE).

Choose Cambridge English: B1 Preliminary (PET) if you:

Have lower-intermediate to intermediate English skills; or have completed Cambridge English: A2 Key (KET) and are ready to progress to the next level; and want a more intensive alternative to General English; andwant a globally-recognised measure of English proficiency for employment, immigration or tertiary study purposes.

Cambridge – B2 First (FCE)

Build on the core English skills you learnt in Cambridge English: A2 Key (KET) and Cambridge English: B1 Preliminary (PET) to extend your vocabulary, convey more abstract themes, and write more complex pieces to operate more confidently and naturally in an English-speaking environment.

You will learn to:

  • To convey ideas fluently in English using correct grammar and sentence structure
  • A wider English vocabulary related to common topics and abstract themes.
  • How to write longer, more complex pieces of writing such as essays, reports and reviews.
  • Examination tips and strategies to help you achieve success.

Upon completing your Cambridge English: B2 First (FCE) course you can continue your studies with Cambridge English: C1 Advanced (CAE) or Cambridge English: C2 Proficiency (CPE) course.

Have lower-intermediate to intermediate English skills; or have completed Cambridge English: A2 Key (KET) and are ready to progress to the next level; and want a more intensive alternative to General English; andwant a globally-recognised measure of English proficiency for employment, immigration or tertiary study purposes.

Cambridge – C1 Advanced (CAE)

Cambridge English C1 Advanced (CAE) is an in-depth qualification that shows you have the English-language skills sought by employers and organisations in Australia and around the world. It is now widely accepted by the Australian Government for Migration purposes as well as Australian universities.

You will learn to:

  • Advanced, real-world English skills in speaking, writing, reading and listening
  • To use and select the right grammar and structure to convey ideas fluently, accurately and naturally
  • To draw upon an expansive, rich vocabulary.

Who is this course for?

Choose Cambridge English: C1 Advanced (CAE) if you:

Are an advanced English student; or have completed Cambridge English B2 First (FCE) and are ready to progress to the next level; and want a more intensive alternative to General English; and want to improve your employment or migration prospects in Australia, or you want to go on to study at University.

IELTS – Foundation

You will learn to:

  • Academic writing and listening skills
  • To speak with more fluency and accuracy

Who is this course for?

This course is designed for intermediate English students who are aiming for an IELTS score of 6.0 or higher to help gain access to university or college, or to improve employment prospects – in Australia, or in other English-speaking countries throughout the world.

IELTS – Advanced

You will learn to:

  • To accurately use Academic English in writing
  • To express yourself fluently across a range of topics, using appropriate linking words
  • To build vocabulary and good essay structure, so you can write quickly and effectively
  • Exam strategies and techniques for the best chance at success.

Who is this course for?

This course is designed for upper-intermediate English students who are aiming for an IELTS score of 7.0 or higher – to help gain access to university or college, improve employment prospects or for migration purposes – in Australia or in other English-speaking countries throughout the world.

Purposes

Need an intensive program to improve your English-speaking skills quickly, so you can be understood? With Pronunciation in Context, you’ll build awareness of the sounds, stress and rhythm of the English language and improve pronunciation so you can speak confidently in everyday situations – from ordering food at a restaurant to speaking in a job interview.

You will learn to:

  • Accurately copy the sounds required by the English language
  • Use the correct rhythm, word and sentence stress
  • Use and understand intonations in spoken English
  • Reduce your accent Improve listening skills and understanding of English speakers
  • Use informal expressions and language in an appropriate way.

Who is this course for?

This course will help you if you lack the confidence to speak in English or if you find it difficult to produce a particular English sound or group of sounds. It’s also the perfect stepping stone to courses like IELTS Preparation and Cambridge (FCE, PET) – as it will give you the confidence to speak in front of a group, helping you to progress faster.
